The first two times I attended an Elliott Yamin concert the recaps practically wrote themselves. This time my muse has been missing in action. I have no idea why, because I enjoyed the Atlanta concert as much if not more than the others. At least we had a couple of other bloggers to provide you with a review and details of the evening. You can take what they say about the concert to the bank, because they aren’t tainted with the prejudicial fervor of one who blogs exclusively about Elliott.

Well folks, I got to see my first Elliott Yamin concert in 2+ years tonight and it was fabulous! I will be writing up a full recap (although it may take several days before it gets posted), but here's a little something to look at while you wait:

Royal Misfit lilefan attended the concert in Virginia Beach on Monday, and this is what she had to say: Kids, I went to see Elliott. Fab show--small venue, acoustic performance, intimate setting. It was incredible. I always wanted to see him in a place like that, and now I'm so glad I did!

At first, we got confused about the venue. There was a sign in a dark parking lot and it felt like kind-of a seedy area. We pulled into the lot around back and I tried to wave down the two busboys out back (one in a hoodie)--turns out it was E and Sway, both on the phone. Haha! Whoops! We drove around until we found the actual front door to the venue and parking.

Youtellconcerts.com has a brief report and video about The River's Acoustic Christmas concert. They have this to say about Elliott: Elliott Yamin started out the night right, and was the only act who actually performed an acoustic set. Really, what else do you need with a voice like that? It’s so precise and pure; the less instrumentation – the better. You can watch the video here. There's a very brief clip of Elliott singing Fight for Love.
